Which one do you prefer?
“Everything happens for a reason” OR “everything is pointless”
Being someone who truly believes in God, you might prefer “Everything happens for a reason”, just to make sure it suits you more. The question is, is it true? Choosing vanilla ice cream instead of chocolate ice cream does mean something, do you think?
I do not believe that good and bad always balance out in the end.
I do not believe that cause and effect theory has something to do with my whole life path.
I do not believe things happen just because: that is the randomness of life.
I do think so.
People love quotes, and as you see, some adores them without even bothering to know the meaning. Just because it sounds cool. There seems to be a trend of being hooked up in these so-called ‘wise words’.
Please don’t think that I am trying to make a fool of anyone, what i am trying to say is, you deserve more than just an empty phrase.
However, the “things happen for a reason” phrase is a perfect example of something that people accept without even really understanding it. In our society, there is a common point of view seeing something in a good way.
Well, we have 360 degree to evaluate a problem, don’t we, so why don’t we see a problem in a good way? There’s nothing completely bad ever happens, there’s always something good to take from it.
I do not agree.
For me, personally, if something bad happens to me, I’d rather not try hard to reveal ‘the good lesson’. It won’t make me any better. It is irrelevant. For example, your boyfriend cheats on you, it is something bad. Then you try to find something good in a bad condition. Maybe God will give someone who loves me more. He just doesn’t deserve me.
There’s nothing wrong with hope and optimism, I am a person full of hope, but trying to make sense of tragedy with weak compromises simply cheapens your life value.
I remember being in a bad situation for about six months. It was nothing good at all. Those negative feeling, those hurt, it all blame me inside. No good lesson, there’s no lesson, but listen carefully to what i am saying, there was God comforting me in time of trouble. Throughout my problem, He delivered me to the next level where I transformed to be someone stronger. As life tears you down, it builds you up.
Problems make you stronger. Furthermore, God uses problems to fix up your character. I do not need any reason to keep on walking on my life path when storm comes on my way. I just need faith.
Things do happen for a reason, simply to make you stronger for it once you overcome them. Instead of trying to look for reasons why something bad might not be so bad after all, why not accept that bad things happen, and feel the hand of God shaping you.
